Privacy Policy
GuessKaro has no accounts and no sign-up. We collect as little as possible, and we delete what we can as soon as it is no longer needed.
Stored on your device
To remember your game, we save small pieces of data in your browser's local storage. Each has an expiry:
- Your current round — deleted after 30 days.
- Progress in a live room — deleted after 1 day.
- Your stats, display name, theme and voice-language choice — deleted after 1 year without playing.
You can remove all of it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Live rooms
When you play with friends, your chosen display name, a random player ID and your round results are stored on our server so everyone sees the same scoreboard. Finished games are deleted 10 minutes after they end, and unused rooms after 2 hours.
Voice input
The microphone button uses your browser's built-in speech recognition. Your browser maker (for example Google for Chrome, or Apple for Safari) may process the audio to turn it into text. GuessKaro never receives or stores your recording — only the resulting text, which is used to fill in your guess.
Advertising
GuessKaro may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK and EU), you will be asked for consent first. You can manage personalised ads at Google Ads Settings and read how Google uses data from partner sites.
Third-party content
Song previews are streamed from Deezer and puzzle facts come from Wikipedia. Loading them shares standard technical data, such as your IP address, with those services.
Children
GuessKaro is a general-audience game and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
