How GuessKaro Picks Its Songs
A guessing game is only fun if the answers are songs people actually know. Here is how GuessKaro chooses them.
Popularity first
Every song that can come up as an answer is ranked by how widely it is played. Obscure album tracks, remixes, slowed or lo-fi versions, covers and mashups are filtered out, so the clip you hear is the version you remember.
Three lists, one game
- Pakistani — classics, pop, rock, qawwali and modern hits from Pakistani artists.
- Bollywood — Hindi film songs from the golden era to today's chart-toppers.
- English — the international hits of the last five decades.
Pick one list or play them all mixed together. Each list has its own popularity threshold, so smaller catalogues aren't drowned out by bigger ones.
Short, legal previews
The audio is a short official preview streamed from Deezer — GuessKaro never hosts music files. All songs belong to their artists and rights holders; see our credits.
Fair hints
Written hints start hard — release year and length — and get easier: the album, the singer's initials, the singer's name and finally the shape of the title. The answer itself is never shown in a hint.
